State school terms for 2026 are:
- Term 1 - Tuesday 27 January to Thursday 2 April
- Term 2 - Monday 20 April to Friday 26 June
- Term 3 - Monday 13 July to Friday 18 September
- Term 4 - Tuesday 6 October to Friday 11 December

School bus service changes
We're currently planning school bus service timetables for 2026.

Many school bus service timetable changes come into effect at the start of a new school year to accommodate new enrolments, introduce efficiencies and improve services based on feedback from previous school terms.
You can use our journey planner to search for the best public transport option to get to and from school or use the school service finder to find a list of public transport services near your child's school. Make sure to select a travel date that falls on a school day.

Top tips for school travel
- Stand where the driver can see you, and hail your bus early so the driver has time to stop safely
- Have your go card or travel pass ready
- Plan your journey and arrive at your stop or station 5 minutes early
