Track closures

• Weekend track closure - Ipswich-Rosewood and Springfield lines - Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October

Timetabled railbuses will replace trains. Please plan your travel.  

Bus diversions and changed services

The areas impacted by diversions and stop changes are: 

• Main Beach Parade, Main Beach - Monday 13 October to Wednesday 5 November
• Ocean Avenue, Surfers Paradise - Saturday 18 to Tuesday 28 October
• Main Beach station, Surfers Paradise - Sunday 19 October to Tuesday 4 November
• Ferny Avenue, Surfers Paradise - Sunday 19 October to Tuesday 28 November
• Tedder Avenue, Main Beach - Monday 20 to Tuesday 28 October

Tram

Normal G:link timetables will run during the weekend, except at higher frequencies at the following times:

Friday 24 October

• 7pm to 8pm - 10 minute frequency

Saturday 25 October

• 8am to 4pm - 7.5 minute frequency
• 4pm to 7:30pm - 6.5 minute frequency
• 7:30pm to 10:30pm - 10 minute frequency

Sunday 26 October

• 8am to 6pm - 7.5 minute frequency
• 6pm to 8:30pm - 10 minute frequency

Ticket and fare information

If you have a pre-purchased event ticket you can travel free to and from the race on all regular Queensland Rail City Network trains, Surfside Buslines services and the G: services (excluding Airtrain).

Free travel runs from first service until last service on the date printed on your event ticket.
